This is a very nice cased example of a War Merit Cross KvK 1st Class in Silver with swords, manufactured by Wilhelm Deumer of Ldenscheid, a city with a major garment accessories industry. Deumer is one of the more desirable makers, with a distinctive style and long history. This early war example in zinc alloy has a lovely patina, and still has most of the original silver wash present, with portions now tarnished.
