This is an excellent example of a BATF approved inert Imperial German Model 1917 "stick grenade", with great markings. It retains many original markings and presents very nicely. The only real issue is that the star piece on the end cap has broken off. It could be reattached with some work or just sat there for display. Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled
