The box has some damage as shown with tearing in the lid
The Geschwader continued to fight on the Eastern Front throughout 1942-44

This is a lovely Stamped Steel WWII Production hood from a 1942 Ford GPW "Jeep", which has been professionally restored by a private collector. The hood has been entirely repainted with the correct star insignia in the center, with the markings U. S. A. 20149669 at each end. The hood measures 33 x 45 and is in great restored condition. The original hinge is still intact and still works well, so this could easily be used
