This is a very nice example of a genuine late WWII Issue helmet, complete with a very rare 2nd Pattern HBT Reversible Camouflage cover. These were only issued to Marines during WWII, and were all made of Herringbone Twill fabric, unlike later versions. The 2nd pattern features small "buttonhole" style slots for the insertion of additional camouflage material, such as fabric, plant material, etc. It seems however that
