S. fighting knife, made by the desirable maker, Camillus Cutlery Co., and contained in an original early model M8 Belt Scabbard. Camillus was one of the major suppliers of edged weapons to the U. S. military during WWII, and produced a variety of different knives and bayonets. This knife is an early production, indicated by the maker information being stamped
