This is a very nice Victorian Era British Royal Navy bronze swivel cannon barrel, dated 1863 by the touch hole. The 20 1 2 inch long barrel features a 1 5 1 6" smooth bore and measures 5 1 2" across trunnions. These cannons were usually used on iron swivel mounts, often mounted to a ship's rail. Really nice and surprisingly heavy. Aside from the date, there is a British Broad Arrow inspection stamp above the touch hole.
