Constructed of silvered zink, with all four reverse attachment prongs intact and affixing the shield to a field grey wool backer, the obverse with a propeller, anchor, and edelweiss flanked by a date of 1940, topped by an inscription of NARVIK and a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 42 mm (w) x 92 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
