Germany, Ss. A Waffen-Ss Em/Nco’s M40 Overseas Cap consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac an extremely rare decoration in(Waffen SS Schiffchen M40). A well preserved Waffen SS EM NCOs M40 overseas cap, constructed of field grey wool. The cap is fully surrounded by fold down side panels which slope downward towards the front. Visible on the peak is the unmistakable outline of an SS style German national eagle insignia which has since been removed from the cap.
