This is a genuine World War Two issue M1 Helmet liner by Westinghouse in excellent condition. The most notable aspect is the original period white MP painted on the front. MP stands for Military Police. MPs often were behind the front lines stationed at Headquarters and routinely didn't wear the heavy steel exterior shells as they were typically on their feet for various duties including guard duty at the guardhouse
