This is a very nice set of "Private Purchase" binoculars by Rodenstock of Mnchen (Munich), Bavaria. Small field glasses were highly preferred by German officers due to their convenience. This example is fully functional, with clear optics and a working central focus adjustment. It is nicely marked as follows on the adjustment knob: RODENSTOCK DANAR 5x It is also marked on either side of the knob with D. R. P. 1945
