This is a very interesting Irish Percussion cavalry carbine, marked on the lock plate by maker W. & J. RIGBY, with a faint DUBLIN stamping on the barrel. There are no military markings, so it is most likely a commercial or colonial service produced weapon. It features a 22 inch long twist forged barrel, which was made with a . 65" rifled bore, since smooth bored possibly for Colonial use. All brass classic mounts,
