Dating from the 1890's this is the first "RUBBER TRUNCHEON" used by the British Bobbies in the last years of the Victorian age. Measuring just over 13" in length, it appears to have a steel rod core, holding together many layers of early type rubber, with some red inserts in places to add color. Classic in shape, this would completely do the job for a Constable in the day. Lovely rubber grain showing tiers of blue
