A 1935 District Leader Hans Schemm Memorial Badge Newly Listed Phillips won the Devon AirA 1935 Gauleiter Hans Schemm memorial badge (date of death: 5. 3. 1935); in aluminum; unmarked; measuring 36 mm in diameter; extremely fine condition. Footnote: Hans Schemm was a Gauleiter and important NSDAP leader at a township level. He was injured in an airplane crash in March 1935. Hitler personally sent a professor from Berlin to fly to Bayreuth, but Schemm passed on March 5th, before the professors arrival.
