A figure peers out the door, indistinctly on the right, looking up the empty street. Balconies, windows, chimneys and steps make up the landscape of this anonymous work. Most likely from the later years of the 19th Century or the early years of the 20th Century. To us it looks like a village in Northern France. Oil on canvas. Unsigned.
